innocent till proven guilty

Recent happenings in relations to the mercenary saga leaves alot
of unanswered questions. first, why are these so called mercenaries
so arrogant? who are they really working for? why is the government so reluctant
to unravel this fiasco? why is the police so divided?
i must say this saga is indeed appalling. Agwambo surely bit more than he could chew.
with allegations flying in all directions its hard to discern the
truth.
As usual the whole thing has been politicised (everything in kenya is politicised anyway!!)
The armenians as arrogant as they are, deserve to be treated as
foreigners and not mercenaries as claimed by politicians. Till a competent authority determines them to be such, then
noone has the right to accuse them. dont get me wrong, i am not
defending these bling-bling ruffians, nay!!! i am just siding with the rule
of law!! personally, i would lynch for their arrogance!!
but we got to stick to the tenets of justice.
remember the adage"innocent till proven guilty??"how did Raila know they were mercenaries? is he a mercenary himself?? for it takes a thief to know one!!
Am no Kibaki apologist, likewise i am not a railamaniac neither am i a railaphobe!!!
these two have managed to screw up what MOI did not in his 24 years!!!
OK kibaki has somehow managed to tweak the economy in the assumed right direction. his aloofness has been mistaken to reflect the "expanded democratic space" thats as far as dude goes.

A
s for raila
, he just doesnt count in my books!. he has a way of twisting issues
to suit his own interests. In as much as i admire that trait, i must add that his
shenanigans have held this country at ransom.
why must the country always be reduced to fights between raila and moi, or raila and kibaki...etc????? must everything be a turned into a contest by this man??
go right ahead all ya railamaniacs....usual spin..u can throw daggers at me. my space remember?..
fine, he was screwed in the past, get over it man, its politics they all say its a dirty game!!
when you make allegations, you had better come up with facts to back your claims. making insinuations that only serve to malign others is really cheap! sadly the whole fiasco has consigned crucial issues to the periphery.
The media on its part has played its part in this shit. Am amazed whenever i read the two papers. why do the standard and the daily nation print totally different accounts of
the same event? who reporting the truth??
i mean just read the nation account, compare it with the standard version. In most cases, the two are radically different.
the same goes for the KTN and NTV. what happened to unbiased objectivity??

All in all, i wouldnt expect SMG (standard media group) to be pro-govt. It is owned by MOI and his cronies and hence by extension, the opposition
The NMG (nation media group) is owned majorly by foreigners (Agah khan) though a substantial stake is held by locals who were may be perceived to be pro-govt.
at the end of the day, the two will always take radically different approaches to
events and report them according to the whims of their masters.

Kritik, i think we should have a Railahate.blog.

By the way no one is telling us the truth on the Armenians. What are they doing here and why.

you have a knack of asking relevant questions though as most of us all these querries do is provoke us more but all the same we have to ask as with no info coming out that is relevant to any issue all we can do is weave theories and wonder.
let me try and give my version of your questions:
1.the mamlukis are so arrogant as in one way or the other they have both the gov and ODM in a corner somehow since both are just going round and round the issue giving no concrete info so one can deduce that they have them both cornered and unless one side throughs caution to the wind and lets itself be exposed we will never get the true picture.
2.they are working fopr both the gov and the ODM. But since they seem to have fell from ODM'S favour now they are woking only for the gov.you see they had meetings with Kalonzo and Raila and now we find that they may have even gone to stato.Just decide for yourself and come to conclusions.
3.The gov is so unreluctant to unravel this "mystery" since to it there is no such mystery but to us there is. in short they know what is happening. But sadly we will continue being bombarded with well spun propaganda as that is how politics is played in kenya.
4.The police is divided since as everyone knows these old wazees are allergic to any dissenting view and as long as they are there every aspect of governance in this country will have two versions of things so the police have only fallen victim to the broader scenarion prevalent in the country.

i am no Raila Fanatic but give the guy credit he has identified the weakness of our leaders and has continued to play around with them as he can count support from his die hard fans both in and out of parliament.( But that is no wonder as jangos are capable of creating a religion out of nothing).
Raila have one belief that he must always be in the news and two days without his mention the guy comes up with something, and you did rightly put it he is one mercenary and infact we have a parliament full of them as you will witness today.
For Kibaki the guy is just something words cannot really explain this guy cause he seems to have some form of special facilities in form of eyes, ears, and everything else so we have not seen anything from him and we will not(remember he was dared by Kalonzo to fire him - and one wonders how we would have acted only if Orange guys had won the referendrum?)
and about the economy things had to change at one point cause if you check and analyze thing properly our economy is no longer controlled by the gov rather mostly market forces have been the force behind this.
the media is another story alltogether SMG is and will continue being anti gov while though NMG at times tends to be impartial the impartiality is lost as one have nothing to compare with so we tend to always have conflicting versions of the same thing so sorry as we can conclude that we never get to know the truth untill it is too late.
my rallying call as always will be let us get our acts together by taking charge of our affairs stariting with the youth think of something people.

shiroh am quite in for the idea. listening to him last night and his fickle attempt as usual to disparage kibs speech made me laugh. the dude neva sees anything positive in what kibs says. but i must hasten to add, they really looked a forlon bunch those odm guys what with them being bila bendera!!! the only guy who displayed objectivity in his assessment of kibs speech was Achillo or is Ochillo??
what should we call the blog??? he he he....

deeply pertubed, maze u have given a incise view really. i agree with you that indeed the armenians are just a pawn in this stupid political game. sadly the media has been drawn into it.

instigator, yenyewe MOI was a decisive leader. such nonsense would have no place in his adminstration. but obviously the with his decisiveness, the freedom kenyans ( and especially those rotten politicians!!) are abusing rather than enjoying would not be forthcoming.
but yea atleast MOI, one must admit, maintained law and order albeit with a heavy hand i must add.

As per kawa with Kenyan tribal politics it has degenerated back to luo bashing."luos can create a religion out of nothing" deeply pertubed said. Did not the whole country vote for narc. This i always say is the reason for alienation of the luo nation which only serves to push even moderate well educated and wealthy luos to conclude that Raila is the only way out pf the quagmire that is mtkenpolitik whose philospohy we all are aquited with and permeates to all other tribes including luos themselves.Let me add Luo politics has matured that is why they voted NARC, We all know the financial status of gava is a sitting duck, slowly roasting, with propaganda being spread that economy is growing. just waiting for the next guy to come and pick the pieces because for the current admin it does not really ethically matter what they do so long as Raila and Luos are to be blamed once it is found out. Why dont you name the blog lakophobia.

ziwani, thanx for your insight. really i and am sure other bloggers have nothing against any tribe. what am against is an individual using the cover of tribe to propagate his selfish interests. surely cant a people be left to choose a leader of their choice. tell me, is imposing leaders in nyanza just cos they sing to raila's tune the way to go?? i dont think so!!

Ziwani it is not about Luos. You have got it all wrong. Me just hate Raila imagine as a politician.
His tactics are of a finish like nature at the expense of development.

    Kritik,
dont think u can impose a leader on a people (ask MOI). Love him or hate him I think Raila is an enigma that just wont go. He makes our political landscape interesting. Without him this blog would be bland and boring (gosh! Did i just reverse compliment you). Am no raila sycophant but would prefer him to bumbling Kibs anytime.
BTW did u watch Newsline yesterday. Wasnt Uhuru impressive?

anyway i did watch louis otieno takin on UK. i was impressed by kijana. though he got quite agitated when a caller put him on the spot over his dad's misdeeds in the past - especially with their land.
anyway thanx for the reverse??? compliment.... but my take is that,as interesting as he may, raila is just about the crookedest(ok i made up that word!! dont fry me) politician there is.
as u rightly put it, he is an enigma.
i must hasten to add, being a luo mp must be a budding politician's worst nightmare!! i mean if the dude doesnt penda u, you might as well become a fisherman in Lake victoria!!! get me?

    kritik,
Glad that you saw that your dislike (or is it hate??) for Raila is simply not objective. I bet if challenged to prove how "crookedest" dude is you would be at best incoherent.
The guy is simply shrewd...very shrewd i must add. Not necessarily bad but can be interpreted variously.
Dealing with such a guy is simple. Do it the subtle way, give him the impression that he is winning, he would invariably let down his guard, and then pull the rug from under his feet. If i were playing a game of chess with him, I would bait him with my queen as I line up my knights for the kill.

    Cheers

well blueswift, i must concur. he indeed is shrewd. he's also got this knac for marshalling public sympathy whenever the gava appears like its trying to box him to a corner. on a lighter note, check out madd madd world on the standard--there is this really hilarious piece maddo has done on raila...yani utacheka!!

hi brother jero, welcome to my space. glad yu liked it, i must add your observations in ur blog are brilliant!!

To find the right answers you must first ask find the right questions.
Do we live as CAIN or ABEL?
Do we LISTEN or just HEAR? Do we SEE or just LOOK?
Do we 'run around' with only 5 senses or 'walk in the way' with 7?

    I don't think I know..I just know I'm thinking.
